At Open Doors for Multicultural Families (ODMF), we believe in the transformative power of possibility. Our work focuses not only on supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) but also on uplifting their families. By providing culturally responsive tools and resources, we create pathways for families to overcome barriers, achieve their goals, and realize their full potential.

“They said I wouldn’t make it. But I did.” For most of my life, I was underestimated. Teachers told me I’d never succeed, never go to college. With the support of programs like Kickstart, P2G, and the Lead Collective, I found my purpose and my people. They didn’t just see potential in me, they helped me see it in myself.

Today, I’m a high school graduate, enrolled at Highline College, and working toward my dream of transferring to the University of Washington. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and I know this is only the beginning.
