Navigating Systems with Support
We work to transform service systems so they are accessible, culturally responsive, and effective for all, particularly individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) from diverse backgrounds.

Families often struggle to navigate disability services, education, healthcare, and other essential systems that were not designed with their cultural or linguistic needs in mind.
These structural barriers lead to inequitable access and outcomes, deepening disparities for historically marginalized communities.

Our systems navigation work bridges these gaps by advocating for policy and procedural changes, fostering partnerships with decision-makers, and ensuring that the voices of those most impacted drive solutions. We collect data on systemic barriers, document inequities, and collaborate with leaders to create meaningful, community-informed improvements.

Through capacity-building efforts, we provide training on cultural responsiveness, language access, and inclusive practices, equipping institutions with the tools they need to better serve diverse communities. We actively advocate for policy reforms, engage in advisory committees, and work within systems to ensure that changes are implemented and sustained.
