Our Programs
At Open Doors for Multicultural Families, our Engagement Programming is designed to support children, youth, and caregivers in building the skills, confidence, and connections they need to thrive. We take a culturally responsive, family-centered approach, ensuring that our programs reflect the diverse experiences and needs of the communities we serve.

By providing targeted support at different life stages, we create opportunities for growth, advocacy, and long-term success.

Our programs across the life span start with ages 0-5. Our engaging early learning experiences support developmental milestones, social-emotional growth, and family bonding. Our programming actively works to prevent Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) by fostering safe, nurturing environments, strengthening caregiver-child relationships, and promoting resilience from an early age.
Our programs help youth and young adults ages 5-24 build critical life skills through social-emotional learning, and self-advocacy training. We offer job readiness development, peer connection opportunities, and mentorship programs to foster confidence and independence.

Our programs are delivered through a hybrid approach, combining in-person and virtual engagement to ensure accessibility for all families. We also integrate digital literacy into our programming, equipping participants with the skills needed to navigate online resources and communication tools effectively. One example of how we are able to do this work is through our Assistive Technology Lending Library. Our community is able to borrow both low and high tech assistive technology tools and see if they fit their unique needs prior to purchasing them.
In addition, we also partner with Coordinated Entry to support permanent supportive housing for chronically homeless individuals with disabilities, pairing affordable housing with wraparound services in healthcare, behavioral health, employment, and independent living.
