Our staff:
We currently speak or can provide bilingual support in over 10 languages. We provide phone interpretation for languages our staff does not speak.
Our mission is to support and partner with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families, regardless of cultural or linguistic background.
Through a cultural brokerage model, we connect them with services, provide specialized programming, and advocate for systems change.
Our focus is to serve a diverse range of communities, including immigrants, refugees, people of color, and other individuals who may face barriers in accessing support and resources.
Our vision is a world where all culturally and linguistically diverse individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families thrive in an inclusive society of their design.
We were founded in June 2009 by a diverse, passionate group of parents, professionals, and community members.
They had been working collaboratively for over a decade to connect diverse families to disability services and to advocate for systems change.
Now, we provide a spectrum of services and programs across age groups, from infants to adults with disabilities. We have over 60 full-time and part-time staff who speak 19+ languages.
In 2022, we served over 2,500 individuals, most of whom live in South Seattle and South King County.
